Kecia was recently appointed the Children's Pastor for Kingdom Kids at Gateway Ministries in Williamsport, MD. Kingdom Kids are the 6-11 year old age group at Gateway Ministries. She is also the director of the Kids-R-Special Daycare at Gateway. We are both excited about the new challenges and opportunites these new positions bring. We ask for your sincere prayer as we move on in God's plan for our lives.

Joey and Kecia Smith are the founders of Because He Lives Ministries. BHLM is a multi-faceted outreach based ministry. Joey is a self-professed computer geek who just happens to be an ordained minister. Kecia on the other hand is a princess in training who just happens to be a published author, certified christian counselor and an ordained minister. She is also a daycare director and Children's Pastor. They teach and train others in a variety of outreach ministry opportunities. They are involved in evangelism to both adults and children. They are also the founders of the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry and Operation Hope Puppet Productions which is a dynamic children's outreach ministry.
